1. Shaker-style kitchen design
This practical style fits perfectly into today's kitchen. Classic, clean and functional, the Shaker kitchen boasts sturdy hardwoods with quality craftsmanship but free of heavy detailing and molding. Cabinets dedicated to organization, muted countertops and an island are also typical of the Shaker design, where emphasis is put more on storage and efficiency rather than head-turning accessories and bold colors. A Shaker kitchen is distinguished but never pushes the boundaries, where many times extras become excessive.
