About My Town
Mobile, AL
Mobile is the birthplace of Mardi Gras in the western hemisphere. Mobile is a mixture of both old and new. When visiting our town, make sure to take drives under the canopy of centuries old oak trees along Government Street, Dauphin Street, Old Shell Road, and Spring Hill Avenue. Our port is one of the busiest along the Gulf Coast and is continually growing. The port is where you will find two of Mobile's newest and largest emloyers - Austal and BAE. The University of South Alabama is also undergoing significant growth. There are many new buildings and exciting things happening on the west Mobile campus.
