From the Majestic Smoky Mountain views to the Tennessee River and all the lakes, Knoxville is beautiful! Besides the Knoxville Symphony and Opera, regional theater and ballet, Knoxville is immersed in a large cultural downtown, rich in history and filled with local artists. Knoxville is also a college town. That means we bleed orange for the University of Tennessee Volunteers, men and women's athletics! We are 45 minutes to Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. Major interstates 40 & 75 run through our town. It's 2 hours to Asheville, NC, 3 hours to Lexington, KY, 4 hours to Cincinnati,OH, 2 1/2 hours to Nashville and 3 hours to Atlanta, GA. The weather is normally mild with 4 distinct seasons. I love autumn with the beautiful fall colors & the crisp blue sky. There are corn mazes, hay rides, pumpkin patches, bonfires and the winters are beautiful here too. The Market Square & downtown have ice skating, music and rows of restaurants & shops. Our downtown is thriving and the energy is amazing! We even have the "Old City", an historical area filled with pubs & coffee shops. With Spring comes the Dogwood Arts Festival when the city comes alive with millions of beautiful dogwood blossoms. Sundown in the City, The Rossini Festival, Biscuit Festival, Farmer's Market, Festival on the 4th, Boomsday, water sports and so much more make Knoxville a wonderful place to live! Friendly, caring people, a place where a hug is second nature, Knoxville IS my kind of town!Learn more about Knoxville, TN
