Spotlight on Sunny Isles Beach
A Miami seaside community with an international mix of residents, Sunny Isles Beach, Fla., is a neighborhood known for its white-sand beaches and endless outdoor activities.
Sunny Isles Beach is a favorite destination for locals and tourists alike because of its warm and inviting climate, proximity to dining and shopping, and location on a barrier island just north of Miami Beach.
Known as Florida’s Riviera, the community is nestled in between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. It has a casual and laid-back vibe, but the neighborhood is close enough to all the South Beach action. Restaurants and shops line Collins Avenue, the main drag where small beachfront hotels are giving way to luxury condominium towers.
Residents of Sunny Isles Beach live within walking distance to two Florida parks, providing beach access and a variety of recreational opportunities. Swim and sunbathe at Haulover Beach Park, a one-mile stretch of white-sand beaches. Across the street from the beach, Haulover Park has a full-service marina and tennis courts. Or hop on a stand-up paddleboard to explore South Florida’s natural preserves at Oleta River State Park, Florida’s largest urban park.
There are a handful of single-family homes in the neighborhood, but you’ll find that most of the residential listings are condos. Prices range from the low $100,000s for a one-bedroom condo to $10 million for a seven-bedroom mansion.
