Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s to Anchor Giant New Mall at Miami Worldcenter

You know how they say to go big or go home? Well with the addition of a new retail space in downtown, Miami's fashion footprint is about to get a whole lot bigger. About 750,000 square feet, to be exact.

When it comes to international shopping, Miami is high on everyone’s list of world-class destinations. Downtown continues to transform and now we're getting a giant new mall. 

Located directly across from American Airlines Arena and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, the Miami Worldcenter will span more than 25 acres. It will be adjacent to I-95 and I-395, providing easy access from both highways.

The shopping center will tout fashion retail giants, Bloomingdale's and Macy's as anchor tenants. Not only will the mall itself be huge, the two main anchor stores will also be huge. 

By late 2016, The Forbes Company and Taubman Centers, Inc. will open a 195,000-square-foot Macy’s and a 120,000-square-foot Bloomingdale’s. 

The location is also the site of the new Marriott Marquis World Convention Center Hotel, which will feature close to 1,800 rooms and 600,000 square feet of convention space.

The Mall at Miami Worldcenter is set to break ground in 2014. The Forbes Company also owns and manages The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, The Mall at Millenia in Orlando and Waterside Shops in Naples.
