Bal Harbour Shops Expands Luxury Retail Space

The upscale shopping center will add 200,000 square feet of retail space and up to 30 new stores.

Bal Harbour Shops, the luxurious, open-air retail center, is famous for upscale brands like Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel. Make way, Prada, because a few more high-end stores are moving in.

The Bal Harbour, Fla., neighborhood, just north of Miami, is infamous for its wealth and luxury. The shopping center is adding 200,000 square feet of retail space, which will include a third specialty department store and up to 30 new brand-name stores.

Last year the shopping center made a deal with a local church to buy their land to make way for the expansion. In exchange, the church will get a brand-new 50,000-square-foot, eco-friendly building on the intersection of Bal Harbour Drive and Park Drive. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to us!
