Westhope: Examples of Art Deco Architecture

Westhope: Examples of Art Deco Architecture

Westhope, a Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece, was built for his cousin in the art deco style in 1929. Set in Tulsa, Okla., the home is constructed of concrete walls, but with bright windows and an open and airy feeling inside. The flat roof and bold interior design, such as the circular, trapezoidal and rectangular motifs cut out of the walls, are key elements that create an original art deco residence.
