Turkey Towns: Where Thanksgiving Got Its Start

The most famous account of the first Thanksgiving comes from Plymouth, Mass., where the Pilgrims settled at Plymouth Colony in 1620. After a harsh first winter, the settlers enjoyed a bountiful harvest in 1621 and held a three-day feast to celebrate. Ninety one Native Americans were invited to the feast in thanks for their help with the harvest.
