Tour the Historic Pinney House in Sierra Madre
This fully restored Victorian in the foothills near Pasadena, Calif., originally built as a "railroad" hotel, is unlike anything else in the Los Angeles area.
Parlor With Unique Mantel
The current owners found the parlor's ornate "overmantel" in Arizona and installed it in the Pinney House, since it's in the signature style of the structure's architects, the Newsome Brothers, and was almost certainly made by them.
