Architects David Rifkind and Holly Zickler envisioned their home as a laboratory for socially and ecologically sustainable construction and planning in South Florida.
The house represents one-seventh of the embodied energy of a
typical South Florida house. According to architects David Rifkind and Holly
Zickler, the 5kW photovoltaic system generates most of the energy
(approximately 75 percent) used in the house.
