Originally constructed in 1920, the home was expanded in 1929 by architect Addison Mizner, infamous for bringing his Mediterranean Revival style to South Florida. Mizner also added the terracotta Cuban tile and painted cypress ceilings to the home. The living room underwent a restoration in 2009. The detailing on the mantel of the fireplace and the design of the floors makes for an interesting combination of style.
