Tour Mel Gibson's Former Connecticut Home for Sale
Known as Old Mill Farm, this pastoral 75-acre property in Greenwich was owned by the Braveheart actor from 1994 to 2010. Take a tour of Mel Gibson's former estate.
Mel Gibson's Connecticut Home
Despite its grand architecture and gorgeous setting, this home took Mel Gibson nearly three years to sell -- and now it's back on the market with an increased asking price. The Oscar winner first listed the property for $39.5 million in 2007, finally selling it for $24 million after several price reductions. Built in 1926 by noted architect Charles Lewis Bowman, the Elizabethan-inspired Tudor mansion offers more than 15,000 square feet of living space, including 15 bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms and a monumental great hall with 40-foot cathedral ceilings, a walk-in fireplace and leaded windows. The exquisitely landscaped grounds feature a hedge maze, a terraced pool, a tennis court, a greenhouse, a stable, a log cabin and a stream-fed pond. The property is currently priced at $32.995 million.
