Eco-architect Chris Sorensen transformed the actor's one-time residence into a green artist's retreat.
One of the two great rooms in the compound features an antique Indonesian canoe suspended from the ceiling. This is the former home and studio of artist Sam Francis, and some of the furniture pieces, like the dining table, are made from and inspired by his paint-splattered stud floor. This room opens to an indoor water garden with a fire and water fountain.
