Stowe Hollow Bridge: Stowe Village, Vermont

Stowe Hollow Bridge: Stowe Village, Vermont

Constructed circa 1844, the 50-foot-long bridge, sometimes referred to as Gold Brook Bridge, is considered the oldest existing covered bridge in Lamoille County. Locals also call it Emily's Bridge, because it's said to be haunted by Emily, a young girl who committed suicide at the bridge after her lover failed to meet her when the two planned to run away together in the mid 1800s.
