Spooky Homes of the Stars: Anne Rice

Spooky Homes of the Stars: Anne Rice

Home to author Anne Rice from 1989 to 2004, this New Orleans residence was steeped in spooky history before she purchased it. The home was originally built in 1857 for wealthy merchant Albert Hamilton Brevard, who shot and killed himself on the front porch after running into financial trouble. Many claim that Brevard haunts the house to this day; psychics who visit the home feel a sense of sadness and shame, and on cloudless nights, it's said that a misty form can be seen on the porch where Brevard killed himself.
