OCTAGON-Irvington

The Armour-Stiner Octagon House was built in the early 1860s and was saved from demolition by preservationist architect Joseph Pell Lombardi, who bought it for $75,000 back in 1978. With the dome and colonnades, it's modeled after classic Roman temples.
