We went searching for spacious Chicago houses suitable for at least 25 people living together in an “intentional living” arrangement. Take a look at the possibilities.
Million Dollar Commune House Number Two
The house met our second criteria: A balance of private and common spaces. This is 12,000 square feet of Prairie School design meets Arts and Crafts from architect George W. Maher. Built in 1913 on a 19,000-square-foot lot, the craftsmanship of the 6-bedroom, 5-bath residence is stellar: leaded glass windows, maple and oak floors, a brick and limestone façade.
