Morris Island Lighthouse

Charleston, South Carolina Morris Island Lighthouse

Located on a small sandbar in the southernmost point of the Charleston Harbor, the Morris Island Lighthouse was completed in 1876 and now stands several hundred feet offshore due to years of erosion and changing currents. Although the lighthouse was decommissioned in 1962, it's still a popular landmark for pictures and is a beautiful addition to the waterfront.
