Jacksonville, Florida Hemming Plaza

Located in the heart of downtown Jacksonville, Hemming Plaza is the oldest park in the city, established in 1857. The Confederate statue in the center of the Plaza is one of very few structures still intact from before the Great Fire of 1901, which destroyed more than 2,300 buildings in downtown Jacksonville.
