Craigside: Examples of Tudor Revival Architecture
Designed by architect Norman Shaw, Cragside was built in 1863 in
Northumberland, England. Originally built as a modest two-story lodge,
Cragside was later transformed into a Free Tudor style mansion, at
which point it became one of the first-ever Tudor style buildings.
Featuring a half-timbered exterior -- or exposed wood framing --
Cragside is a popular English landmark and symbol of Tudor style.
