Bronck House: Examples of Cape Cod Architecture

The Bronck House is the oldest structure in upstate New York and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1967. Constructed in 1663, the home was added on to in the 1700s and the Cape Cod style came alive. Although it was built with mainly brick, the Bronck House displays Cape Cod features such as the typical centered chimney, dormers and low-pitched roof.
