Designed for Comfort

Parents will appreciate the Monte glider recliner in this room, which has a high back for resting your head and converts into a recliner so you can put your feet up. The pattern on the footrest adds an old-fashioned feel. The hand-woven basket by the chair has a nursing pillow and burp cloth in it so that the baby supplies can be easily taken to another room.

"I didn't put a bumper around the crib," Megan says. "If you talk to any pediatrician, they'll tell you not to put any soft items in the crib because it's a safety risk to the child. Bumpers are a SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) risk, and when the babies get older, they step on the bumpers to try to get out of the crib. Bumpers are very expensive and unnecessary. It's more important to know the child is sleeping safely."
