Dana Thomas House: Examples of Prairie Architecture
One of the best-preserved examples of Wright's Prairie-style
architecture, the Dana Thomas House in Springfield, Ill., contains more
than 100 pieces of original Wright furniture and hundreds of art glass
doors, windows and light fixtures. Constructed between 1902 and 1904,
it was Wright's first "blank check" commission and his largest home at
the time, with 12,000 square feet and 35 rooms.
