Famed author, Chris Bohjalian, has been a long time resident of Vermont.
He has lived in Lincoln with his family since moving from Brooklyn in
1987 after looking for a more peaceful place to raise a family
and continue his writing. Bohjalian is the author of 13 books and is
best known for works such as New York Times bestsellers, "Skeletons at
the Feast," "The Double Blind," "Before You Know Kindness" and
"Midwives," which was even a selection for Oprah's Book Club. The home
where Bohjalian has written most of his esteemed novels is this 1898
clapboard house with fish-scaled woodwork. It features four bedrooms and
three porches, and according to Bohjalian, was purchased for almost the
exact same price as what they sold their 580-square-foot Brooklyn
apartment for in 1987.
