Cape Cod, Massachusetts Cape Playhouse

The Cape Playhouse, located in Dennis, is America's oldest professional summer theater. Open for more than 80 seasons, the playhouse has attracted big names from Hollywood and Broadway since it opened its doors July 4, 1927. Known as "The Birthplace of the Stars," Gregory Peck, Lana Turner, Humphrey Bogart and many more began their careers on the Cape Playhouse stage. Bette Davis even worked here as an usher before becoming a household name. Today the 26-acre property has expanded to also include the Cape Cod Center for the Arts, Cape Cinema, Cape Cod Museum of Art and the Center State Cafe.
