Peter Jackson's Pair of Penthouses Hits the Market in Tribeca NYC
The New Zealand director bought two units in 2008 with the intent to combine. They can now be yours for $21.5 million.
The Lord of the Rings fans now have a chance to live in an apartment formerly owned by director Peter Jackson. Curbed notes that a side-by-side pair of Tribeca penthouses, purchased by Jackson for $17.35 million back in 2008, are now on the market for $21.5 million. The units are being marketed with the potential to combine them into one giant penthouse with 8,000 square feet, 9 bedrooms, 9.5 baths and 4,000 square feet of private terraces.
We love the cozy ambiance set by the ubiquitous wood construction, from ceiling beams to wood-paneled walls. Also, Jackson has already made some major capital improvements, such as a new roof system, "state-of-the-art" HVAC and interior renovations. Check out the listing for projected designs of the mega-roof deck.
For those less inclined to combine, the units are 5,650 and 2,638 square feet, with 6 and 3 bedrooms, respectively.
