Miami Beach Mansion on La Gorce Island Sells for $30 Million

A drop-dead gorgeous home known as Castello del Sol, located on celeb-studded La Gorce Island, sold for $30 million this week. The sale marks the highest sale to date on the Florida island and the second $30 million listing within a month for The Jills.

Photo by: Zillow “Costello del Sol is a hidden treasure located at the tip of prestigious La Gorce Island and sits on an amazing 70,000-square-foot lot nestled behind stately banyan trees, with 349 feet on the wide bay,” said Jill Eber with Coldwell Banker. “You truly feel like you are in your own private resort, with a lagoon-style pool, a cascading waterfall, three teak docks with room for a large yacht, a gym, a tennis court and the most magnificent grounds.”

The Mediterranean-style estate, located at 42 La Gorce Circle, has 10 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. No luxurious detail was overlooked, from hand-painted ceilings and a fabulous rotunda to gold-leaf trim throughout the home.

Equipped with two kitchens (one for the chef and one for the owner), the house also has a library, theater and rooftop lounge. The massive estate is located on a 70,000-square-foot lot and has almost 350 feet of frontage directly on Biscayne Bay.

Esther Percal, an agent with EWM Realty brought the buyer, while The Jills of Coldwell Banker closed the deal as the listing agents.

Their second $30 million dollar deal in a matter of weeks, Jill Hertzberg and Jill Eber brought the buyer for last month's sale of A-Rod's house on North Bay Road
