About the House
- Owned By: Baseball star Andruw Jones
- Listed By: Michele Collins of Harry Norman Realtors
- Price: $4,999,000
With nine bedrooms, 12 baths, three laundry rooms and
a batting cage, there’s room for everyone in the starting lineup. And in case
any other jock friends drop by, there’s an indoor basketball court, a putting
green, a pool with a built-in Jacuzzi and an indoor resistance pool.
The home is located about 30 miles north of the city’s center and in the gated community of Sugarloaf Country Club, which also offers tennis courts, fishing and golf.
The all-brick manse also has an elevator, three kitchens (two indoors, one out), a waterfall, cathedral ceilings, his-and-hers walk-in closets, an outdoor living room with fireplace, a guesthouse and a four-car garage.
Jones started his major league career with the Atlanta Braves in 1996 and was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2007. He ended his career in the states with the New York Yankees and now plays in Japan for the Nippon Professional Baseball league. He and his wife built the house in 2002, but recently filed for divorce. They probably could’ve stayed in a house this large and never seen each other.
