Located in Atlanta’s verdant and blooming Buckhead, the 43rd annual Atlanta Symphony Decorators’ Show House & Gardens is being staged in a grand chateau inspired by the architecture of France.

Tuffeau, billed as one of William T. Baker's most-exquisite works, exemplifies the craftsmanship and artful detailing characteristic of Baker's architecture and encompasses more than 18,000 square feet of interior space.

Decked out entirely in French limestone with its slate roofs and zinc dormers, the showcase home is representative of the estates found outside of Paris. The interiors integrate architectural antiques such as leaded windows, French paneling, marble mantels, wood parquet floors and casement windows, and will showcase some of the Southeast's most-talented designers.

“This year’s designers represent sophistication, quality and distinction,” said Natalie Miller, the 2013 Show House Chair. “With these qualities, attendees can look forward to an exquisite blend of modern and traditional styles.”

After completing an exhaustive application process, the chosen designers tackle a different room or area within the estate, transforming it into their own unique piece of artistry. Designers were encouraged to utilize a musical element in their designs.

Founded in 1971, the Decorators' Show House & Gardens is a fundraising cornerstone of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. All proceeds benefit the Orchestra's education and community engagement programs and initiatives, aiding countless children and adults throughout greater Atlanta each year.

The home is located at 3495 Old Plantation Road near the prestigious Westminster school and is open to the public April 20 - May 12, 2013. Attendees cannot only interact with the craftsmen and seek inspiration, but also shop for select design-related items while there.
