This 3,250-square-foot villa in the Western section of the Hollywood Hills, almost completely remodeled, is currently on the market for $3.495 million.

Who knew actor/comedian/director/writer Michael J. McDonald could also decorate? Is there anything he can’t do? The MADtv star has just spent several years remodeling his 3,250-square-foot villa in the western section of the Hollywood Hills, and now he’s putting it on the market for $3.495 million.

That’s after paying $1.979 million for it back in 2004.

It seems he has almost completely transformed the house that was originally built in 1977. His many improvements include adding two new kitchens, both inside and out. The indoor kitchen is outfitted with custom wood cabinetry, granite countertops, a Viking stove and a Sub-Zero refrigerator. The new outdoor kitchen has a hooded grill, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and ample prep space.

Other aspects of the remodel include adding two large master suites, each with built-ins, luxurious baths, walk-in closets and French doors that lead to private patios. In total, the house now has three bedrooms and five bathrooms.

McDonald also added an eight-person outdoor spa and a cabana to the property that already included a pool, lush tropical foliage and canyon, green belt and partial city views.

The home’s other features include high walls and a gated entry for privacy and security, that open to a five-car motor court in addition to a two-car garage. Together they provide substantial parking space in this hilly neighborhood with narrow streets.

The house also has a sunlit solarium and foyer, as well as a living room with a stone fireplace, tall ceilings and built in shelves and sitting spaces, plus multiple French doors.

In addition to remodeling his house, McDonald has been a busy man over the past several years. In addition to his stint on MADtv, which ended with the show in 2008, he’s worked on many other TV series, including Desperate Housewives, Scrubs, Web Therapy, House of Lies, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, and the film, The Heat, with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy.
