Houston and husband Bobby Brown reportedly did a lot of entertaining at their former home. The ultra-modern estate custom-built for the late Grammy winner was bought by a fan.

Have you ever been such a big fan of someone that you wished you could live in their house, sleep in their bedroom? We’re not encouraging this behavior, unless, of course, the home is for sale and said celebrity has moved on.

After the ultra-modern home of the late Whitney Houston languished on the market for more than four years, Dr. Matthew Krauthamer bought the home for $1.5 million. The 33-year-old emergency room physician said that he was always the fan of the singer and actress, not only for her talent, but for her acts of kindness as well.

The 13,600-square-foot home was custom-built for T he Bodyguard star in 1987, and not much has changed since she and Bobby Brown were married there in 2002. It boasts five bedrooms and six baths, vaulted ceilings and all the '80s opulence one could hope for. Around every curve of the home are custom details such as a convex fireplace, massive round skylights and a tricked out master bedroom with a built-in entertainment center a la Austin Powers.

There’s a swimming pool, tennis courts, a basketball court, two Jacuzzis and lots of outdoor patio space for entertaining.

Fans and film companies have already contacted Krauthamer wanting to see inside the home. He said that he plans to live in the home and will not exploit the singer’s fame for profit. We’re not sure about his decorating plans, but we’ve got your peek inside the estate in all its modern glory.
