Tour the House of Turquoise in Orlando
A couture children’s wedding apparel designer turned the house of her dreams in Orlando into the House of Turquoise.
When Marg Hyland moved to Orlando, she dreamed of a lakefront property where she could incorporate hues of blue into her interior design scheme. For over 30 years, the founder of Pegeen Children’s Formal Wear has yearned for a place where she can admire a view from her front porch. “I’m a designer, and for me, being able look out a window or relax on a porch, is the start of a good day," she said.
The two-story, Key West-style home features lake vistas from both the upstairs and downstairs. Her favorite room of the house is a screened-in outdoor living area with views of the water and a cozy brick fireplace. “Finding a place to relax and work on new ideas is really what it’s all about for me," she said.
