The Perfect Outdoor Retreat in Asheville, N.C.

Photo by: Zillow The current owners of this 5,800-square-foot stone-and-stucco home in The Ramble Biltmore Forest, Asheville’s premier gated community, purchased an additional lot to create its incredible outdoor entertaining area. The rope swing suspended over the pool is a big hit with kids, while the seating area around a fireplace serves as an inviting retreat for the adults.

Even if your Fourth of July Festivities are over, you may be taking a long weekend to soak up the beginning of summer. If it were up to us, we’d be spending the weekend at this Asheville home – or more precisely, behind this Asheville home, in its incredible backyard entertaining area.

The current owners of the European-inspired residence bought a separate lot to create their incredible outdoor retreat, complete with a fireplace, a playground, a full kitchen and a pool with a rope swing – obviously a big hit with the kids. For the grown-ups, there’s a beer tap in the outdoor kitchen, which the owners often keep stocked with local Asheville beer.

If you need a break from the summer heat, the interior of the stone-and-stucco home is equally appealing with wide-plank European oak floors, colorful tilework and rustic beamed ceilings. Located in the gated community of The Ramble Biltmore Forest, the home is just steps from a neighborhood park, walking trails and a recreation center.
