Robin Williams' Elegant Wine Country Estate
For a guy who's famous for his wacky sense of humor, Robin Williams sure has serious taste in real estate. The Mrs. Doubtfire star has listed his luxurious, 653-acre estate in California for a whopping $35 million.
Perched atop the Mayacama Mountains between Napa and Sonoma Valleys, the actor's Italianate-style home overlooks towering trees, rushing winter creeks, a natural lake and 24 acres of vineyards. Plus, the property borders thousands of acres of open space protected by the Sugarloaf Ridge State Park.
Behind its Portuguese limestone façade, the 20,000-square-foot residence houses five bedroom suites, an oak-paneled library, a state-of-the-art theater and climate-controlled cellars for art and wine. The back of the home opens to an infinity-edge swimming pool surrounded by antique European stone decking and a multi-tiered sculpture garden.
The estate's name -- Villa Sorriso -- is rather fitting, as "sorriso" is the Italian word for "smile." If we could call this incredible property home, we'd be grinning nonstop.
