Photographer Annie Leibovitz Lists West Village Compound

Known for her intimate portraits of celebrities and other public figures, photographer Annie Leibovitz is selling her incredible artist's compound in New York City for $33 million.

Owned By: Photographer Annie Leibovitz
Listed By: Paula Del Nunzio and Guida De Carvalhosa of Brown Harris Stevens
Price: $33,000,000

In the early 2000s, Leibovitz paid a total of $6.1 million for three separate townhouses on a corner lot on Greenwich Street. Since then, she's completely renovated the residences into a 10,000-square-foot live/work complex complete with a living spaces, offices and guest quarters.

The five-bedroom main residence opens directly into the rustic-chic living room, which features high ceilings, wide-plank wood floors and twin wood-burning fireplaces. Two doors at the rear of the living room lead to a formal dining room, while a third opens to a chef's kitchen overlooking a secluded slate patio. A staircase from the kitchen leads to the guest triplex.

Adjacent to the main house, the studio features a reception room and three levels of offices and work space. A private garden and courtyard lies in the center of compound's multiple buildings.

Leibovitz isn't moving far: She's reportedly selling the home so she can live uptown -- closer to the school that her three daughters attend.
