Live in One of America's Most Fun Small Towns

Travel Channel, Randy McNally and USA Today say Delray Beach, Fla., is one of the most fun small towns in America. With its vibrant art scene, beachy lifestyle, and warm and friendly atmosphere, it's easy to see why.

It’s no wonder that our sister network, Travel Channel, named Delray Beach one of the most fun small towns in the country. Situated on the Atlantic Ocean and tucked between Boca Raton and West Palm Beach on the east coast of Florida, Delray Beach is a neighborhood where the weather is perfect year round and the locals are some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet.

I hopped on a golf cart with Stephen Chrisanthus and Tiffany Mazer from the Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative and set out to explore the town like a local. The heart of all the action is Atlantic Avenue, which runs through the center of downtown and continues from the highway to the ocean. Known as the longest Main Street in Florida, Atlantic Avenue is lined with trendy boutiques, colorful art galleries, outdoor sidewalk cafés and bars featuring nightly entertainment. Atlantic Avenue intersects with North Ocean Boulevard, which runs parallel to a gorgeous white-sand beach.

Ranging from one-bedroom condos to luxury mansions, there are a wide variety of homes for sale in Delray Beach. This three-bedroom, three-bathroom home (shown below) is located just two blocks from the beach and seven blocks from Atlantic Avenue. It's a classic Monterey Colonial-style home that spans more than 3,000 square feet and features a sparkling pool in the backyard, as well as views of the Intracoastal waterway. On the market for just over $2 million, Wendy Overton with Corcoran Group Real Estate has the listing. Take a photo tour below.
