For 'Twilight' Fans: A Home Fit for a Cullen
Breaking Dawn Part 2 -- the final installment of the mega-hit Twilight saga -- premieres tonight, and hardcore fans are already waiting in line to see their favorite hunky vampires and werewolves on the big screen. Whether you're Team Edward or Team Jacob (or Team "Saving My Excitement for the Next Hunger Games Movie"), we can all agree on one thing: Vampires have some seriously impressive taste in architecture.
Location: Orcas Island, Wash.

Two homes have served as filming locations for the lair of Edward Cullen and the rest of the vampire clan: a contemporary pad in Vancouver and the Hoke House in Portland. These two sites have a lot in common: clean, geometric lines, bright and airy interiors and expansive glass walls facing tranquil wooded surroundings. Based on these criteria, we found another place where our favorite sparkly vampires would feel right at home: a modern waterfront dwelling on Orcas Island, Wash.
Completed in 2011, this striking residence is dramatically cantilevered on the steep slopes of Buck Mountain. Two slim concrete fins serve as the home's foundation, supporting a steel frame with wings that project 28 feet outward in both directions. Inside, folding glass walls accentuate sweeping views of the San Juan Islands on one side of the home, serene moss-covered cliffs on the other. Pssssh, forget the Cullens -- when can we move in?
