Julius Peppers, outside linebacker and defensive end for the Green Bay Packers, bought a gorgeous home in Miami's posh Coral Gables neighborhood. The football star signed a three-year deal with the Packers in March -- maybe he's hoping to escape those harsh winters from time to time and bask in the Florida sunshine.

The 9,100-square-foot home features eight bedrooms and was constructed in 2006. According to Miami-Dade County records, the original owners paid nearly $1.3 million for the 58,000-square-foot property in 2000. There's a sparkling swimming pool in the backyard and plenty of lush tropical landscaping
