Elvis Presley's Former Beverly Hills Estate for Sale
Calling all Elvis fanatics: It's time to start saving your pennies, because the ultimate piece of Elvis memorabilia just became available. Listed for $12.995 million, this gated estate in Beverly Hills was once owned by the King of Rock and Roll.
Formerly Owned By: Elvis and Priscilla Presley
Listed By: Jade Mills of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Southern California
Built in 1958 on a 1.18-acre promontory, the French regency-style residence overlooks panoramic scenes of the Los Angeles skyline and the Pacific Ocean. The "Heartbreak Hotel" singer purchased the property for $400,000 in 1967, the same year he married Priscilla. The couple shared the home until they separated in 1972, and sold it in 1973, just before their divorce was finalized.
Since Elvis' tenure, the home has received several updates, including a new kitchen with professional appliances, a new laundry room, an upgraded electrical system and a resurfaced pool and spa. One thing that hasn't changed: The front gates still bear messages written by adoring fans.
In addition to a main house with four bedrooms and five full bathrooms, the home's hefty price tag buys an attached guesthouse, a large motor court and a four-car carport -- plenty of space to house friends, family and Elvis-loving lookiloos. Would you live in The King's former castle?
