Chris Kattan Puts His Classic Hollywood Home on the Market
Funny man Danny DeVito also lived in the updated 1920s-era home, where there was probably something funny going on most of the time.
It isn’t huge by celebrity standards: only 2,496 square feet, two bedrooms plus three-and-a-half baths. And it isn’t shiny and new – it was built in 1926. But it is just a stone’s throw from several of Hollywood’s best comedy clubs and busiest studios. Perhaps that’s what’s attracted comedians like Danny DeVito and Chris Kattan to this classic Spanish Colonial in the Hollywood Hills. It will be interesting to see who lives there next, as Kattan has just put it on the market for $1.998 million.
Quaint but ornate, the Old Hollywood-style home has a number of unique features, including what appears to be a passion pit with sumptuous upholstery and draperies, in a two-story guest/pool house, with angled, fold-back windows overlooking a lushly landscaped grotto pool area. Among the home's additional highlights are a Batchelder fireplace, a luxurious master suite, and crown molding and hardwood floors throughout. A unique iron gate, a wall and plenty of mature foliage discreetly hide the home from the hustle and bustle of nearby Hollywood Boulevard.

Best known for his Saturday Night Live appearances, as well as teaming up with Will Ferrell for A Night at the Roxbury, Kattan had a run on the TV series The Middle, and is moving on to other comedy features like Walk of Fame and ImagiGARY, both slated to be released in 2014.
