The burrito mogul sold the five-story home to his renter, music mogul Lyor Cohen. At $11.4 million, it was a bargain.

Chipotle founder and apparent real estate maven Steve Ells sold his West Village townhouse last month for $11,400,000. It's a surprisingly low amount, considering the original asking price of $14.5 million, but perhaps buyer Lyor Cohen, a hip-hop music executive, was able to strike a deal after renting the home for the past year.

The burrito king is no stranger to Manhattan real estate. In 2008, Ells bought a Waverly Place loft for $5.753 million and sold it several years later for $6.1 million. He bought this Jane Street townhouse in the same year, and the following year he snagged a prewar Fifth Ave penthouse for $11 million.

The five-story home is beautiful inside and out, with a striking glass facade in the back and classic brick facade on the front. For a tour of Ells' home-cum-rental, check out our gallery below.
