Bye Bye Brentwood: Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen List California Estate
The celeb couple lists their custom contemporary castle for a whopping $50 million.
When your husband works in Boston as the quarterback for the New England Patriots, it hardly makes sense to have a lavish spread in Los Angeles. So supermodel/actress Gisele Bündchen and NFL star Tom Brady are reported to be building an estate in Brookline, Mass., and putting their Brentwood, Calif., property on the market. Asking price: $50 million.
For that you get a 18,298-square-foot, limestone-clad residence that features reclaimed ceiling beams, ceramic brick and bluestone, antique doors and marble fireplaces — there are seven fireplaces total. There are also six bedrooms, nine baths, a gourmet kitchen, a library, a state-of-the-art gym, a pool and even a koi-filled moat-like water feature, in keeping with the property's country French chateau style.
The Bündchen-Brady grounds cover four acres and feature waterfalls, ponds, an infinity pool, lawns, gardens and rustic pathways throughout. The main house is reached by a winding driveway that leads to a cobblestone motor court. The property is flat, but situated on a hillside so that it commands views of both the canyons and the city, all the way to the Pacific Ocean.
The family’s new Boston-area digs are reported to be a wee bit smaller, at only 14,000 square feet, but they will apparently have at least five bedrooms, four baths, a spa, library, wine cellar and yoga studio. So there will still be plenty of room for the family that includes three children and two superstars.
