Alex Birkenstock, heir to the famous sandal company, is selling his two-bedroom penthouse in the Financial District for $12.995 million. Two bedrooms may have a modest ring to it, but there's nothing modest about this opulent 3,400-square-foot condo. Every inch of the 30th-floor apartment is customized or dressed up with exquisite design details, thanks to the vision of interior designer Steve Harivel (who's most famous for his work in Soho House hotels). One of the best parts? It comes fully furnished, so what you see in the dazzling interior photos is what you get — and you certainly get a lot after Birkenstock sunk $5 million into a renovation.

Another one of our favorite things about this penthouse is the versatility of the space. Thanks to two sets of retractable glass garage doors on opposite ends of the home, you can convert the two-bedroom space into either a one-bedroom or one giant, seamless great room. Not quite sure how to picture that? Check out our gallery for a visual explanation.
