Armani Announces First Americas Residential Development
Residences by Armani/Casa will be a César Pelli-designed, 60-story luxury oceanfront tower in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla.
Argentinean-born architect César Pelli, creator of the Petronas Towers in Malaysia and Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami, is designing the 60-story oceanfront tower with 260 luxury residences to reflect Giorgio Armani's aesthetic sensibility.
“Armani/Casa was born from my desire to see my design aesthetic at work in interior spaces," says Giorgio Armani, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Armani Group." On a project like this, where we have the benefit of partnering with a talented architect like César Pelli, we get the opportunity to create something really very special – a remarkable living space, imbued with the spirit of modern elegance.”
The new project in Miami complements the company's existing cadre of residential properties in some of the most exotic destinations around the world in places like Istanbul, Mumbai and Manila.
Gil Dezer, who is renown for his work with marquis lifestyle brands, including Porsche Design and the Trump Organization, and Jorge Perez, recognized for museum-quality art and design in residential settings, along with César Pelli and Armani, are heading up the project, which is scheduled for completion in 2016.
In Miami, the Armani/Casa showroom is located in the Design District at NE 39th St. For more info, call (305) 573-4331 or visit armanicasa.com.
