A Disney Fanatic's Dream Home
Everyone knows that Walt Disney World is The Most Magical Place on Earth, but we think we found a close second. Known as Graystone Manor, today's house was once owned and renovated by Disney senior designer Robert F. McDonnell -- and he didn't skimp on storybook-inspired decor and design details.
Location: La Canada Flintridge, Calif.
Listed By: Sean Santarsiero of Podley Properties
After purchasing the property in 1971, McDonnell spent decades transforming it into a fairytale cottage reminiscent of the famous theme park. As one might expect from a Disney-caliber designer, the attention to detail is outstanding: The leaded stained-glass windows, wrought iron hardware and elaborate woodwork all look like something out of Cinderella's castle. Lest we forget what inspired the home's design, figurines of dwarves, princesses and that beloved mouse are on display in nearly every room to remind us.
Would you pay $1,449,999 (recently reduced by $50,000) to live happily ever after in this enchanting Disney-inspired estate?
