Gill is a New England town in Franklin County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 1,363 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Springfield, Massachusetts Springfield, Massachusetts metropolitan area. It is home to the Mount Hermon campus of Northfield Mount Hermon School.
History
Gill was first settled in 1776 and was officially incorporated in 1793.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 14.8 square miles (38.4 km2), of which, 14.0 square miles (36.2 km2) of it is land and 0.8 square miles (2.2 km2) of it (5.67%) is water.
