As of the census of 2000, there were 7,356 people, 2,599 households, and 2,032 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 669.7 people per square mile (258.7/km²). There were 2,753 housing units at an average density of 250.6/sq mi (96.8/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 92.33% White (U.S. Census), 0.69% African American (U.S. Census), 4.49% Native American (U.S. Census), 0.80% Asian (U.S. Census), 0.61% from Race (United States Census), and 1.07% from two or more races.
