The racial makeup of the town was 98.35% White (U.S. Census), 0.15% African American (U.S. Census), 0.15% Native American (U.S. Census), 0.39% Asian (U.S. Census), 0.20% from Race (United States Census), and 0.76% from two or more races. Hispanic (U.S. Census) or Latino (U.S. Census) of any race were 2.53% of the population.
There were 1,973 households out of which 17.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.1% were Marriage living together, 5.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.9% were non-families. 34.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 21.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
