Sammy Sosa's New Miami Beach House

Not only is he on the all-time home run list with 609 round-trippers, Sammy Sosa is hitting it out of the ballpark with the purchase of a gorgeous beach house in Miami.

I’ve no doubt he is truly going to enjoy it.”

Located in the secluded enclave of Golden Beach, the slugger bought the home built in 1998 for $7.6 million. Golden Beach is a favorite Miami neighborhood for luxury home buyers seeking privacy. The property last sold for $6.4 million in 2002.

Located on more than one-half acre the home spans more than 7,000 square feet and sits between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. The two-story, seven bedroom estate has 75 feet of direct ocean frontage and to-die-for water views

Nelson Gonzalez with EWM Realty International/Christie’s International Real Estate brokered the listing and Dana M. Kaufman represented Sammy Sosa.

Sosa played right field with four Major League Baseball teams throughout his career, which spanned from 1989 until he retired in 2007. Originally from the Dominican Republic, he's often spotted in Miami.
