The sellers, William and Donna Brian, bought the property in 2005 for $4.6 million and renovated it. Tom Hedge Jr. and Monica Barth of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty represented the couple in the deal, while Jill Friedman and Kevin Vale of Coldwell Banker represented Rosie O’Donnell.

Ever since she sold her Miami Beach mansion on Star Island for a cool $16.5 million, Rosie has been searching the state of Florida for a new island home. While Casey Key may not be Star Island, it is home to a few celebs, including mega-selling author Stephen King.

The $5 million price tag is the highest paid for a home on Casey Key this year, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. The entertainer is expected to share the beach house with her wife, Michelle, and five adopted children.

Featuring 4,647 square feet of lavish living space, the waterfront home has four bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Luxury design features include French oak floors, tongue-and-groove ceilings, custom-built cabinetry, Miele and Sub-Zero appliances, as well as unique tile- and marble-work throughout.

A pool loggia with an outdoor kitchen and bar area is perfect for entertaining. The open floor plan emphasizes views of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. And the house comes with deeded access to a marina where Rosie can take the family out for boat rides to soak up the Florida sunshine.
